At a glance
The appropriate solution depends on your starting situation. A single implant crown, a bridge and a complete arch restoration have different requirements.
Which option fits the gap?
Teeth that can be preserved are an explicit part of the assessment. Removable options may also be appropriate depending on your findings and preferences.
| Starting situation | What is assessed during consultation |
|---|---|
| One missing tooth | A single implant crown and possible alternatives |
| Several missing teeth | Individual restorations or a bridge and the support needed |
| Many missing teeth or an edentulous jaw | A complete arch restoration, implant distribution and access for cleaning |
How many implants does a complete arch need?
There is no single number for every situation. Available bone, implant distribution, the opposing teeth, space and restoration design must work together. The restoration also needs to allow effective everyday cleaning.
We explain which option suits your findings and how the alternatives affect treatment, maintenance and costs. A personal recommendation requires an examination.
Can fixed teeth be fitted immediately?
An early temporary restoration may be possible in suitable cases. Implant stability and the planned loading are among the factors that must be appropriate. Immediate restoration cannot be promised for every situation.
Temporary and final teeth are separate treatment stages. Ask which restoration is planned for each stage and which appointments will follow.
The future restoration guides the plan
At ZAK, the surgical team works directly with our digital practice laboratory. Shape, position and bite are coordinated with implant planning. Scanning, design, fittings and reviews remain part of one shared process.
Your completed restoration also needs an individual cleaning and maintenance plan. Regular reviews and professional care remain important even when the teeth are fixed.
Frequently asked questions
Will I need to remove fixed teeth myself?
You do not remove a fixed restoration in everyday use. We explain the chosen attachment and cleaning method for your particular restoration.
Does complete arch treatment always require removing every remaining tooth?
This should never be assumed. Teeth that can be preserved and alternative restoration concepts are considered during examination.
Can I travel to ZAK for this treatment?
Yes. Existing records can help us prepare. Examination, procedures, fittings and aftercare then need to be included in your personal appointment plan.
