ZAK Zahnarztpraxis Andreea Krauss

Implants, restorations and your own contribution

What do dental implants cost?

A reliable budget covers the complete restoration, from the initial assessment through implant surgery to the finished crown or bridge. At ZAK, we discuss each stage and prepare an individual treatment and cost plan after examining you.

At a glance

A price for one implant does not necessarily cover the completed tooth. Your findings and the services required determine the overall plan.

What belongs in the treatment plan?

When comparing quotations, check whether they cover the complete treatment. The implant, connecting component and crown are separate parts. Further procedures may be needed depending on your findings.

What belongs in the treatment plan?
ComponentWhat we consider
Diagnostics and planningExamination, necessary imaging, scanning and planning the future restoration
SurgeryImplant placement and any bone augmentation or sinus lift
RestorationConnecting components, crown or bridge and laboratory work
Additional servicesTemporary teeth, additional anaesthesia and separate maintenance where required

Comparing treatment proposals

Ask which items are already planned and which depend on further diagnostics. Establish whether a quotation includes temporary teeth or the final restoration.

  • Which teeth will be replaced and which can be preserved?
  • Are connecting components, restorations and laboratory services included?
  • How will any additional procedures be discussed?
  • What should you budget for later reviews and preventive care?

Insurance and reimbursement

Under German statutory insurance, implant surgery is generally paid for privately. A subsidy linked to the dental findings may contribute towards the restoration. Rare exception cases have separate rules. The KZBV patient information explains this distinction.

For private, supplementary or overseas insurance, reimbursement depends on your policy. Submit the treatment plan to your insurer before starting and clarify your expected personal contribution.

Planning your treatment at ZAK

Our surgical team and practice laboratory coordinate implant position, the restoration and treatment stages. We also discuss possible alternatives. A useful comparison considers the planned teeth and aftercare as well as the surgery.

If you travel to us, allow separately for transport, accommodation and a companion if required. We discuss which appointments can be combined according to the clinical plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I receive a binding total before an examination?

A binding plan requires an examination and the necessary diagnostics. Existing records help us prepare the consultation, but do not replace an examination in person.

Does a low price per implant cover a completed tooth?

Only if the same services are included. Check connecting components, the final restoration, laboratory work, possible additional procedures and aftercare.

Can planning begin before I travel?

Yes. Tell us about your wishes, existing records and possible travel dates so that we can prepare your consultation and subsequent appointments.
